China to complete IPR strategy next year

Chinanews, Nov. 28 - The State Intellectual Property Office deputy
director Zhang Qin revealed on November 25 that his office has been
taking the lead in the strategic work to set up the nation's intellectual
property and expects that work to be completed by the second half of next
year.
Zhang said that through the establishment and implementation of China's
intellectual property strategy, the country will have actual protection
of the important target of intellectual property and can help incubate a
batch of companies that own their own intellectual property and reduce
conflicts with foreigners over this contentious issue.
It was learned that the concrete targets of the country��s intellectual
property strategy include: by the year 2020, a well rounded set of
intellectual property laws, regulations and policies, a working structure
of a relatively well-formed intellectual property system, large-scale
elevation of the market economy��s ability to innovate and to use
intellectual property system to take part in market competition,
especially the ability to compete in international markets, the basic
establishment of a platform to search and analyze intellectual property
information, the elevation of society��s awareness of intellectual
property, cultivation of a group of high-quality intellectual property
individuals, strengthening of external co-operation and effectively
protect the country��s interests.
