Shenyang Imperial Temple Fair opened

Chinanews, Jan. 23 - Jan. 22, 2006 was the Preliminary Eve, exactly one
week before the Chinese New Year in lunar calendar.
Shenyang 2006 Imperial Temple Fair was opened on the very day, staging
exciting performances of stunts, paper windmills, kites, shadow plays and
other rare-to-see programs, feasting the eyes of many visitors.
Moreover, there were Er Ren Zhuan (a local folk dance from Northeast
China which usually consists of two people singing and dancing),
wrestling performance of the "king of wrestling," on-the-spot
calligraphy, painting and sculpturing shows, celebrating the new spring
and other marvelous programs. The temple fair will last until the Eve of
the Spring Festival.
