In early Nov., Henan archeologists excavated a tomb which belongs to a
noble of the State of Chu in Guozhuang Village, Shangcai County. As the
tomb was equipped with good anti-theft facilities, it still houses some
precious cultural relics such as round vessel and chime after many times
of burglary. According to relevant archeologists, the tomb dates back to
the early Warring States Period (475-221BC) and its owner was probably a
State of Chu noble feoffed in Shangcai. Excavation of this tomb provides
important materials for research on the history and culture of the State
of Chu.
