China and Russia jointly fought ice flood

Delegations of border city governments of China and Russia convened talks
in Heihe City on prevention of ice flood in the boundary river
Heilongjiang River on Apr. 4. Both parties reached an agreement that
during the drift epoch, they would exchange methods and information on
flood prevention in a scientific way and continue defense against ice dam
disasters during Heilongjiang River's ice flood season. This is the first
time that border city governments of China and Russia held talks to
ensure life and property safety of people on both sides of the
Heilongjiang River during the drift epoch and eliminate hidden danger of
disasters after the events of the Year of China and the Year of Russia
sponsored by both countries.
