Sculpture-decorated boats on external Qinhuai River

On July 23rd, at the Stone Town segment of Nanjing's external Qinhuai
River, eight sculpture-decorated boats valued at millions of yuan were
delivered one after another. The first water sightseeing route on
external Qinhuai River will begin trial operation in August. At that
time, tourists will board the boats at Sancha River and make a tour to
Wuding Gate over ten kilometers away. The route enables tourists to
appreciate beautiful scenes such as the TV tower, Stone Town, Ming
Dynasty (1368-1644) city wall, etc. At a general speed, the boats will
spend about one hour to finish the entire route. "Sounds of paddling and
shadows of lanterns" will, for the first time, appear at the external
Qinhuai River.
